Finally, in addition to our teratocarcinoma studies, which for the first time demonstrated EpoR expression by these cells, we also confirmed (Figure 3 panel C) that the human ovarian cancer cell line A2780 expresses EpoR mRNA (a) and that this receptor is functional according to chemotaxis assay (b) and direct cell signaling studies (c). The gene discussed is EPOR; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
