CYP2R1 and Hypertension: The CYP2R1 SNP was individually associated with reduced diastolic blood pressure (per allele, β −0·09 mm Hg, 95% CI −0·18 to −0·01; p=0·03) and reduced odds of hypertension (OR for increase per allele, 0·98, 0·96–1·00; p=0·02), but no individual associations were seen for the DHCR7 SNP, or either of the downstream metabolism SNPs (GC and CYP24A1), with any of the blood pressure outcomes (appendix pp 41–43).
