The proteins Ro60 (TROVE2, SSA) and La (SSB), which are common auto-antigens in autoimmune diseases (like systemic lupus erythematosus and Sjögren’s syndrome (reviewed in [4]), were identified as the major antigens facilitating the association with these small ncRNAs [5,6,7]. The gene discussed is RO60; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
