ATP5F1B and neoplasm: Supporting the increased oxidative phosphorylation rates seen in radioresistant cells in vitro, expression of ATP5B was significantly higher (p = 0.043, 95% confidence interval −55.50 to −0.93) in the tumour epithelium of patients who had a poor response to neoadjuvant CRT (TRG 3–5), when compared to good responder patients (TRG 1–2) (Figure 6C).
