In this study, we have shown that the murine colon C-26 adenocarcinoma cell line (C-26) secreted in the extracellular medium significant concentrations of two cytokines, IL-6 and MCP-1, whereas we could not detect any significant accumulation of other relevant inflammatory cytokines tested, namely, INF-γ, IL-10, TNF-α, and IL-12 (Figure 1). The gene discussed is IL10; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
