The strong correlation in the expression levels of p50, p65, and AEG-1/MTDH further supports their significant role in epithelial ovarian cancer progression, whereas the moderate expression of the above transcription factors in borderline ovarian tumours and low expression in benign neoplasms indicate that the upregulation of NF-κB pathway and AEG-1/MTDH may consist of late events in the course of epithelial ovarian carcinogenesis and further support the premalignant nature of borderline ovarian tumours. Here, RELA is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
