In conclusion, we propose six genes that are promising candidates as a prognostic biomarker signature measured as mRNA in peripheral blood cells in ovarian cancer patients, PDIA3, CYP1B1, LYAR, NOP14, NCALD, and MTSS1. Monitoring of these in peripheral blood samples in future longitudinal multicenter follow-up studies, will be necessary for validation of the clinical utility of this proposed prognostic gene expression signature. This evidence concerns the gene CYP1B1 and ovarian carcinoma.
