To study the potential function of TREM-1 in the pathogenesis of myocardial dysfunction in septic mice, we observed that LPS/mAbTREM-1-treated and LPS-treated mice showed signs of sepsis such as absence of grooming activities with resulting ruffled fur, olfactory discharge, and diarrhea, no oral uptake of food or water, and lethargy compared with saline-treated controls after LPS administration at different times. The gene discussed is TREM1; the disease is Sepsis.
