Glo1 was also recently shown to be related to cancer cell migration and invasion in gastric cancer [18] and Arsenault et al. [19] showed that after inhibition of LDH in the breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-435, aerobic glycolysis led to a remodeling of the cytoskeleton facilitating cell migration as another important physiological characteristic of tumor cells and a hallmark of cancer [20]. The gene discussed is GLO1; the disease is breast cancer.
