CNS-1 tumor cells (2 × 105 cells/200 μl) were implanted in 8-12 week-old syngeneic male Lewis rats and either left untreated (control (CTRL) group; n = 8) or treated at day 10 after implantation with a vaccine antigen preparation consisting of a mixture of haptenized syngeneic CNS-1 and allogeneic RG2 glioma cells (10e6 each) with lysates produced from syngeneic CNS-1 and allogeneic RG2 glioma cells (3 × 10e6 each) (n = 8), given alone or combined with the TLR7/8 agonist, resiquimod (R848). The gene discussed is TLR7; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
