Consistent with these findings, the publically available (http://r2.amc.nl) Versteeg and Kocak [25, 26] microarray gene expression datasets from 88 and 476 patients respectively, showed that TP53INP1 mRNA expression in human neuroblastoma tissues negatively correlated with N-Myc mRNA expression (Figures 6C & 6E), and that low levels of TP53INP1 mRNA expression in tumor tissues were significantly associated with poor patient outcome (Figures 6D & 6F).
