As TP53INP1 is well-known to induce cancer cell apoptosis by promoting p53 protein phosphorylation at Ser-46 and hence activating this tumor suppressor [17, 18], we examined whether repression of TP53INP1 by HDAC2 could protect neuroblastoma cells against apoptosis. The gene discussed is TP53INP1; the disease is neoplasm.
