Use of γRVs expressing second-generation anti-CD19 CARs with CD3ζ and CD28 activation domains mediated clinical responses in 6/8 patients with B cell malignancies (including chronic lymphocytic leukaemia [CLL] and follicular lymphoma) (Kochenderfer et al, 2010, 2012). This evidence concerns the gene CD28 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
