Secondary Immune MeasurementsA series of immune measurements, in addition to the preselected primary six variables, were evaluated for correlations with the risk of HIV-1 infection. Of all the secondary immune variables, eight of these had a p-value of < 0.05. Three of these are related to the direct correlation with plasma Env IgA; two are related to the indirect correlation with Env IgG responses, and three are related to cellular responses (i.e., PBMC derived cytokines). The gene discussed is CD79A; the disease is HIV-1 infection.
