JAK2 and cancer: In HT-29 cells, treatment with vehicle, Alisertib (4 μM), Ruxolitinib (40 μM) or both compounds resulted in 1066, 384 (64% inhibition), 305 (71.4% inhibition) and 110 (89.7% inhibition) invaded cells, indicating that pharmacological inhibition of Aurora A and JAK2 combined is more effective than single kinase inhibition at suppressing the invasive capacity of these cancer cells.
