CRISPLD2 and asthma: While the nominal associations with ICS resistance and bronchodilator response do not reach genome-wide significance, and hence, would not suggest that CRISPLD2 variants be prioritized for further study based on the GWAS data alone, in the context of the current GC responsiveness results, they suggest that specific regions in/near CRISPLD2 may modulate asthma phenotypes in humans.
