Importantly, researchers in previous studies [29-31] have demonstrated that the chA21 mAb can inhibit growth and induce apoptosis of the human ovarian cancer cell line SKOV3 by regulating the balance between Bax and Bcl-2, suggesting that chA21 mAb might be a promising new candidate in the treatment of HER2-overexpressing cancers. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and ovarian cancer.
