Based on these data and the fact that the synthetic flavonoid Flavopiridol inhibits growth in Rhabdoid tumors [20], we investigated the extent to which BRM silencing might be involved in Rhabdoid tumors and observed that BRM was silenced in the majority of Rhabdoid cell lines (10/11) and in ~65-70% of primary Rhabdoid tumors. The gene discussed is SMARCA2; the disease is rhabdoid tumor.
