We found, CuPT treatment for 24 hours decreased cell viability (IC50: 0.375 μM, Figure 3a) and induced cell death (Figure 3b) in MCF-7 cells; in U266 cells, CuPT treatment for 24 hours decreased cell viability with an 0.130 μM of IC50 value (Figure 3c) and induced apoptosis as detected with Annexin V/PI staining by flow cytometry (Figure 3d); similarly, CuPT treatment also decreased cell viability (IC50: 0.495 μM, Figure 3e) and induced apoptosis (Figure 3f) in HepG2 cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA5 and cancer.
