CD4 and tuberculosis: Compared to known HIV-positive cases, new HIV-positive cases were more likely to have respiratory TB in combination with non-respiratory TB, a low CD4 count (<200×106/L) and a high viral load (>100,000 HIV RNA copies/ml); odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals 2.71(1.04, 6.99), 7.65(1.92, 30.5), and 12.7(1.32, 121.5), respectively.
