Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1(MALAT1), also known as NEAT2 (nuclear-enriched abundantly transcript 2), was found to be overexpressed not only in early-stage metastasizing non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) but also in breast, pancreas, colon, prostate, and liver cancers [20, 21]. The gene discussed is MALAT1; the disease is liver cancer.
