Figure 5 shows representative immunochemical staining sections for CD133 with weak, low, moderate, and high intensities. The overall survival of patients with high-level expression in both CD133 and LC3B was 38 mon, and those with weak expression in both CD133 and LC3B was 170 mon (Figure 6). These results showed that high-level expression of both CD133 and LC3B was indicative of poor prognosis in astrocytoma (P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene PROM1 and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
