On the one hand, CXCL16-CXCR6 mediated firm adhension is beneficial to tissue localization of carcinormal cells in lung, on the other hand, lung cancer cells could regulate the growth and progression by themselves in an autocrine and paracrine manner, which is similar to the importance of the coexpression of CXCL16 and CXCR6 in human first-trimester villous trophoblast at the materno-fetal interface [13]. Here, CXCR6 is linked to lung carcinoma.
