Our data indicate that IL-10 protein expression (1) was highly up-regulated in the maternal blood 2 hrs after systemic LPS administration, reaching 2700 pg/ml levels, which represents a 96-fold increase as compared to the control levels in the vehicle-treated animals (28 pg/ml, Fig. 2A) but (2) was not affected in the AF (Fig. 6A). Here, IL10 is linked to atrial fibrillation.
