HLA-A and Behcet disease: In this respect, HLA-A*03, which on the contrary binds with stronger affinity than HLA-A*26 to LILRB1 [20] and also ligates to the NK cell receptor KIR3DL2 [22], could be of interest as a potential protective allele with an observed negative association to BD and thus should be investigated in further larger patient cohorts.
