Another study reported that the levels of CD3+CD4+ and CD19+ lymphocytes and the CD4+/CD8+ T cell ratio were significantly lower in 25 septic shock non-survivors (P < 0.01) compared to 27 survivors on the day of hospitalization; however, there was no difference in the proportion of CD3+CD8+ T lymphocytes between non-survivors and survivors [17].
