We previously reported that ALK-rearranged lung adenocarcinomas of all radiologic types showed higher stage at diagnosis and more solid pattern, were more cribriform, and had a closer relationship with adjacent bronchioles[42] and more frequently positive bronchoscopic findings than EGFR-positive lung adenocarcinoma[43], which suggested more proximal origin of ALK rearranged lung adenocarcinoma than EGFR-positive adenocarcinoma. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
