In contrast, GDM patients presented several genes that were induced compared to T2D, including immune response genes (CXCL10, CXCR4, CD46, CCL3L3, IL1B, IL1A, NFKBIZ, IL27, C1QA, CD83, C1QB, HIF1A, DEFA4, DEFA3, KIR2DL4, CXCL1, CCL3, TNF, CCR1, CXCL3, CXCL2, CCL4, CCL23, CCL20, IL6, CR2, IL8, IL1RN STAT3, CD55) and genes involved in the response to hormone stimulus (PTGS2, LDLR, PGF, PDGFA, PTGS1, NOS3, ADAM9, EGR2, SOCS2, SOCS3, RXRA, ADIPOR1, GAL, JUNB, C1QB, RETN, ADM, SORT1, CAV2, CAV1, TNF, GRB2, ERBB3, GNG11, BCL2L1, PIK3R1, IL6, IL1RN, STAT1, STAT3, CDKN1A, BMP7, IGFBP2). Here, CD46 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
