Our screen identified five candidate PCa progression genes; ATPAF1, GCOM1, MEX3D, PTRF, and TRPM4. TRPM4 has been associated with the development of a cancer phenotype, particularly with cell proliferation and tumor progression[50,51], and has been specifically shown to enhance cell proliferation through up-regulation of the β-catenin signaling pathway[50,52]. The gene discussed is MEX3D; the disease is neoplasm.
