PTPRJ and non-Hodgkin lymphoma: In order to identify genes, previously found to be inactivated in our high resolution LOH study [8], and that are differentially expressed in the context of LOH of PTPRJ, we compared 262 candidate TSGs located within LOH regions against the 400 genes with differential expression between cases with retention and LOH of PTPRJ. This approach identified only the NFATC3 (nuclear factor of activated T-cells, cytoplasmic, calcineurin-dependent 3) gene, located at 16q22, to be commonly inactivated and differentially expressed in NHL cases with LOH of PTPRJ (Figure 4).
