In this study, we found a glucose transporter gene (SLC2A1) and 12 genes associated with glycolysis upregulated exclusively in high-CN tumors, including those that encode 3 regulatory glycolytic enzymes –hexokinase (HK2), phosphofructokinase (PFKP), and the pyruvate kinase (PKM)– indicating that glycolysis is accelerated in these tumors. The gene discussed is PFKP; the disease is cyclic hematopoiesis.
