While SETDB1 and NSD3 did not have correlating hairpins to carry out the analysis, we did observe that MCL1 shRNA composite score correlated well with SETDB1 amplification (data not shown), suggesting that 1q21 amplification may signal dependence on SETDB1 and MCL1. The epigenetic reader BRD4 exhibited multiple correlating hairpins that carried negative shRNA scores in cancer cell lines (Figure 7B). The gene discussed is SETDB1; the disease is cancer.
