Interestingly, in our analysis C-reactive protein levels seemed to be of no diagnostic value for indication of pancreatic cancer (AUC = 0.45; 95% CI 0.24–0.66; p = 0.63) (Figure 3f), and currently used CA19.9 marker proved to be of 74.4% sensitivity, 80.8% specificity, while its positive and negative predictive values were 62.7% and 87.9%, respectively.
