The involvement of the NCOA2 gene in neoplasia was first reported by Carapeti et al who showed that in acute myeloid leukemia the cytogenetic aberration inv(8)(p11q13) resulted in a KAT6A-NCOA2, also known as MOZ-TIF2, fusion gene (20,21). This evidence concerns the gene KAT6A and acute myeloid leukemia.
