Unfortunately, the vastly increased FGF23 production in HYP mice (Wild Type mice; 50 pg/mL and HYP mice; 5000 pg/mL) clearly overwhelms the inhibitory effects (i.e. reduced half-life of FGF23) induced by the increased HYP-mice FAM20C levels. The gene discussed is FGF23; the disease is X-linked dominant hypophosphatemic rickets.
