A major fraction of the proteins altered in young GBM (25 %; 16 out of the 68 proteins) are putatively localised to mitochondria (OXCT1, PEBP1, DPYSL2, CKMT1A, ACOT7, CKB, IDH3A, SNAP, VDAC2, PRDX3, HSPD1, CAT, ATP6V1E1, GLUD1, CLIC4 and NDUFS3). The gene discussed is ATP6V1E1; the disease is glioblastoma.
