This finding is consistent with several reports on the anti-PCa action of ERβ, such as inhibition of epithelial-mesenchymal transition [55], downregulation of VEGF-A [55] and TMPRSS2-ERG [56], reduction of PC3 cell migration and invasion in vitro[39], and growth of DU145 and PC3 xenografts in nude mice [20]. This evidence concerns the gene ERG and posterior cortical atrophy.
