In EOC tumours, ASPM over expression and/or the increase in ASPM cytoplasmic localisation may be explained as an increase in relative expression of only one of the two detectable ASPM isoforms, or of a novel isoform and the change in expression of the fully functional wtASPM protein in relation to the partially functional ASPM isoform may have an affect on cancer progression. This evidence concerns the gene ASPM and neoplasm.
