Further analysis of the discontinuous data by subdivision into cancer subtypes revealed that in addition to the correlation of low cytoplasmic ASPM with high tumour grade, there was also an association of decreasing ASPM cytoplasmic levels with increasing grade in the serous subtype (p<0.0001) (Figure 7B) and an increase of ASPM expression levels with increasing tumour stage in the endometrioid subtype (p = 0.0229) (Figure 7C). The gene discussed is ASPM; the disease is cancer.
