PAH-DNA adducts were elevated in patients: mean 6.77 ± 12.05/10(8) compared to controls: 4.90 ± 8.81/10(8), (P = 0.12), however there was no difference in PAH-albumin adducts between patients (mean 0.61 ± 0.31 fmol/micrograms) and controls (0.63 ± 0.30 fmol/micrograms). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is pulmonary arterial hypertension.
