The results of nude mice showed that the tumors growth became slow when cells were treated with mTOR siRNA and cisplatin alone or combined compared to control group from day 7 to 15 after treatment, which had statistic differences between the three experimental groups and the control group; while the tumor growth was the slowest, when mTOR siRNA combined with cisplatin, the volume of tumor only was 5-fold bigger in the mTOR siRNA combined with cisplatin group but 17-fold bigger in the control group at the termination than at day 1 of the treatment (P < 0.01). This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and neoplasm.
