An overrepresentation of Iba1+ cells was evident in the tumor/normal brain interface in the two anti-angiogenic treatment regimens that resulted in heightened glioma invasion (6-week treatment with aflibercept or bevacizumab) compared with the treatment regimens not linked to an invasive glioma phenotype (hFc, 3-week aflibercept, and TMZ) (Supplemental Figure S1). This evidence concerns the gene AIF1 and central nervous system cancer.
