In recurrent glioblastomas (GBMs), studies have shown a high response rate (30–50%) to bevacizumab, a human monoclonal antivascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) antibody, administered alone or in combination with irinotecan, demonstrating a 35–50% estimated 6-month progression-free survival (PFS) [1–3]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and glioblastoma.
