As indicated in Table 2, the univariate and multivariate logistic regression models with an r square of 0.22 suggested that plasma fibrinogen was an independent predictor of the presence and severity of CAD after adjusting for gender, age, BMI, current smoking, hypertension, family history of CAD, hs-CRP, creatinine, and various lipid parameters (OR = 1.40, 95% CI 1.04–1.88, and P = 0.026). Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
