IFNG and cancer: The miR-29 family directly targets IFN-γ [44], and IFN-γ-induced Stat1 can up-regulate miR-29 expression [45]; in cancer cells, miR-145 directly targets Stat1 and c-Myc [46], [47], and miR-378 targets the IFN-γ receptor 1, IFNGR1, to suppress bovine luteal cell apoptosis [48].
