From our results we can conclude that Ang II plays a significant role in the development and maintenance of experimental postischemic ARF in the hypertensive rats and partly contribute to the blood pressure increasing Also, these results suggest that the intensity of tubular injury could be reduced in the hypertensive patients who are on therapy with AT1R blockers, and that these patients have no particular risks of kidney function deterioration during the ischemic ARF episode. The gene discussed is AGT; the disease is acute kidney injury.
