Investigations into the possible role of IL-17A in the contractility of SMCs of other organs, such as the uterus, blood vessels, urinary bladder and so forth, may open a new approach to treatment of diseases related to abnormal contractility of SMCs e.g., hypertension, asthma, pollakiuria, subarachnoid hemorrhage and threatened abortion. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
