MMP2 and neoplasm: The MMP2-sensitive, TATp-modified, micellar formulation showed a high PTX loading (15% w/w) with low risk of premature drug release/leakage, had a superior cell internalization and hence cytotoxicity in vitro, as well as greater tumor targeting and anti-tumor efficacy in vivo compared to the non-MMP2 sensitive formulation, free PTX or conventional micelles (PEG2000-PE/PTX).
