Kaplan–Meier survival analyses showed that cervical cancer patients with low Dicer mRNA expression had a significantly shorter 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) (57.6% versus 87.7%, P=0.001) and 5-year overall survival (OS) (72.7% versus 94.7%, P=0.0028) than those with high Dicer mRNA expression (Figure 2a). The gene discussed is DICER1; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
