Examples of this are trastuzumab for HER2 over-expressing or amplified breast and gastric cancer [2], [3], imatinib for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) [4], vemurafenib for metastatic melanoma with (V600E) B-RAF mutations and crizotinib for non-small cell lung cancer patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangements [5], [6]. Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
