Inhibition of mTOR with rapalogs has shown clinical efficacy against some solid tumors, including everolimus for angiomyolipoma associated with tuberous sclerosis, metastatic renal cell carcinoma, breast cancer, or pancreatic neuroendocrine carcinomas and temsirolimus for renal cell carcinoma [11]–[14].
