Having established that MC-deficiency curtails mCMV-induced serum levels of the T and NK/NKT cell-recruiting chemokine CCL5 [27], [29], [30], we quantitated CD3ε+ T cells in absolute terms for comparing infiltration of the lungs on day 6 after intravenous infection of WT C57BL/6 mice and MC-deficient “sash” mutants (Fig. 5).
