When the age cutoff was changed from 80 to 60 years, age was associated with cancer in bivariate (P≤.002) and multivariable analysis (P≤.002, Table 4), and the negative predictive value of this model with 3 variables (age >60 y, ALP, and albumin level) increased to 95% when all tests were negative (Table 5). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and cancer.
